Like the World’s Greatest Explorers
This learning scenario gives students the opportunity to feel like Marco Polo, Magellan and many other great explorers. Working in groups, pupils are invited to identify the habitats of some species of plants or animals. Also, they have to recognise the five major habitats found in the world.
Outcomes of the lesson
In the end, each group needs to produce posters, infographics, puzzles, comics or similar using Europeana Collections resources. They have to present key features, pros and cons about given types of habitat. After that, each group has to present final work to their classmates.
