Herbal Medicine in Your Region and in Europe (EN-CUR-463)

With this learning scenario, students will compare 5 plants used in their region for medicinal purposes. They will write their taxonomy and compare them with the ones found on Europeana web portal. The activities of this learning scenario are designed to develop students writing and research skills. Besides, students also improve their media literacy skills and learn how to use collaboration tools (by creating digital mind maps, for instance).

This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage (Rerun)” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
