Let’s explore the wetlands of the Danube! (EN-CUR-181)
At the end of the lesson, the students will be familiar with the environmental changes caused by humans and more precisely with the disappearance of the wetlands along the lower Danube. Through research activities, students discover the ecological importance of the wetlands of Europe and explore bird species that live in wetlands, as well as plants and trees.
This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
