Music and Rhythm, Time and Space (EN-CUR-490)
This learning scenario focuses on the connection between Music, History and Geography. Students research the cultural and historical background of the famous composers, connecting biographical facts with main events of the particular period, creating a timeline to connect the gathered information. They also work with maps of each period to back up the information collected and to point out the changes in borders and national identities.
This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage (Rerun)” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
