Our Special Museum – Architecture and Fashion (EN-CUR-475)
In this learning scenario, students read the book “Iggy Peck, Architect” by Andrea Beaty and learn about architecture. They work divided into four teams (Antiquity; Medieval Era; Modern Era; Contemporary Era). Students explore Europeana Collections, find specific buildings and create an online museum via ThingLink. In the end, they dress up according to the era assigned to their team and present the museum to the “visitors”.
This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage (Rerun)” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
