Yellowhead, a North American indian medical practitioner, aged 40.

My learning scenario is intended for students of English of levels A2-B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages where they will analyze both the social and cultural elements of a language by accessing historical accounts of the USA and Spain.

Learning outcomes

Students will be able to find common aspects between their own culture and the one whose language they’re studying. It will motivate them to learn English and obtain further cultural enrichment.

This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage (Rerun)” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
