Piece of Arts Maths with Da Vinci (EN-CUR-688)

‘’Is there a connection between mathematics and art and aesthetics?’’ ‘’ Have you studied Da Vinci’s works as a mathematical marvel?’’ ‘’Did you know that there is a mathematical secret to making works look amazing to our eyes?’’ Together with the students, we will search the answers to these questions. Students will try to understand the connection between art and mathematics by examining Da Vinci’s works from a mathematical perspective. They will discuss this bond they have found in class and tell their friends at school.

This learning scenario has been developed during the “Digital Education with Cultural Heritage Rerun” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
