Prospects for the future: unemployment or not? (LS-FI-210)

This learning scenario practices listening, oral and writing skills. The main aim of the scenario is teaching vocabulary on the subject on the one hand, and having the students discuss working life on the other. The students are also made aware of the learning skills they are practising. They also practice team skills.

Context

The scenario is meant for students who are old enough to have summer jobs and are about a year away from graduating, making the subject relevant to them.

Employment is one of the obligatory themes of the Finnish core curriculum, and it is taught in the last obligatory advanced language course, in this case, English.
