Shakespeare with Europeana (EN-CUR-390)

This learning scenario is aimed at developing students’ English as a foreign language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). They improve these skills while learning about the life and work of the most famous English poet and playwright William Shakespeare. Students are also introduced with the concept of cultural heritage, develop their ICT and critical thinking skills. Finally, they learn about Europeana collections and the concept of copyrights.

This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage (Rerun)” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
