The Legend of Wilhelm Tell (EN-CUR-619)

This learning scenario is aimed at developing students’ language skills in German as a foreign language. They become familiar with the legend of the Swiss national hero, Wilhelm Tell, as a part of the cultural heritage of Switzerland. By exploring the topic, students are encouraged to use their ICT skills, as well as to use critical thinking. Students learn how to use Europeana and become familiar with the concept of copyrights.

This learning scenario has been developed during the “Digital Education with Cultural Heritage” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
