What would you choose: speak or be quiet? (EN-CUR-180)
This topic is part of the History national curriculum: Tito’s Yugoslavia (1945-1980). The topic has a current-day perspective as well: looking through today’s societies and citizen activism. Students will understand what censorship is and they will recognize similarities to life today. They will understand the difference between a free society and one in which freedom of speech is limited.
This learning scenario has been developed during the English version of the “Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
