Women and Art: Let’s meet them in an art museum (EN-CUR-615)
This museum educational program will support the school course of History of Art, especially the module on Female artists. Participants will be high school students and it will take place in the museum exhibition room and museum educational room. They will increase their knowledge about female artists, create their own digital exhibition and presentation using the Europeana platform and Padlet, compare information, support their opinions and points, and communicate with their peers and museum educator about two female painters such as Frida Kahlo and Sofinisba Anguissola. They will understand the differences and similarities between Renaissance and Modern Art and their impact on contemporary art.
This learning scenario has been developed during the “Digital Education with Cultural Heritage” online course. The course aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices. The courses can be accessed here.
