Implementation of ‘Advertising’ (SOI-IT-87)

At the Comprehensive “V. Alfieri ”of Taranto, there was implemented the Advertising Learning Scenario. The activity was organized in working sessions at the school’s multimedia lab and involved students from different classes.

Ready to face a new learning scenario!

The Learning Scenario was partially modified to adapt it to the formative needs of the participating students (11-12 years old) and their proficiency level of the English language. The documentation of the activity is available on the Digscuola website.

Tools, resources, licences

The students were presented with the learning scenario and the Europeana platform. Also, the topics of online resource search and usage licences were analysed in depth.

The learners entered the activity using their devices (Bring Your Own Device approach) to explore the selected resources accessible through QR codes (see didactic sheets attached to the learning scenario).

The use of apps for reading QR codes was appreciated by the participants and helped them understand its function.

We proceeded to the examination of the photos (discussion of the message, analysis of the design, the topic of advertising), to the consultation of the indicated sources and to answering the questions proposed using the shared digital blackboard on Linoit.

The use of this kind of whiteboard was very useful to conduct the activity in a cooperative mode.
