Call for Europeana Dutch Speaker Ambassador in the Netherlands/Belgium

European Schoolnet is looking for 1 educator from the Netherlands or Belgium who is a Dutch speaker to join the Deployment of a Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage (Europeana DS-Y2) project (November 2023 – August 2024). Are you interested?
Ambassador Tasks
As a Europeana DS National Ambassador (NL or BE), the selected candidate will carry out the following tasks:
- Organise and conduct national activities for formal and non-formal educators.
- Collect about 15 Stories of Implementation in English and in one’s own national language.
- Support the collection of about 50 micro-Stories of implementation via training courses and outreach activities.
- Act as preliminary jury during the Europeana Education Competition 2024.
- Feature in and contribute to one promotional video.
- Participate in two workshops per project year. The first of these annual workshops will take place online and will gather all Europeana Ambassadors to prepare the work for the year. The second workshop will take place face-to-face, in the Future Classroom Lab, in Brussels – it will be scheduled towards the end of the academic year.
Additionally, the selected Ambassador will be responsible for the following tasks:
D. Moderate and support the rerun of the Europeana MOOC in Dutch
E. Curate the Learning Scenarios from the rerun of the MOOC in Dutch
What are the benefits of the Educator Ambassador?
- Stipend for work: the ambassador completing tasks 1-6 and tasks D and E will be remunerated for up to 21.5 days of work (2365 EUR).
- Travel and accommodation costs of the educator covered, regarding the second workshop, which will be organised face-to-face in the Future Classroom Lab, in Brussels. Please note that days spent in workshops are considered training and are not remunerated.
- Opportunity to be part of a selected group of ambassadors working on this European project.
What are the selection criteria for the Educator Ambassador?
The selection criteria for the Europeana DS National Ambassador (NL or BE) are the following:
- Experience in reviewing learning/training resources.
- Proficient knowledge of English (understanding, writing, reading, and listening).
- Interest in learning and sharing experiences and good practices.
- Very good community organisational skills.
- Very good authoring/digital skills.
- Interest in cultural content.
- Good internet connection.
- Availability to participate in two workshops and ad-hoc online meetings.
- Availability for a one-year project.
