Sharing is caring! The Scientix® STEM Discovery Campaign 2026 is here and awaiting your contribution

The annual Scientix® STEM Discovery Campaign 2026 has officially started, and you are on the invitees list! If you have been designing, contributing, organising, or attending lessons in which you “re-use” digital cultural heritage from Europeana since May 2025, we want to hear from you. You have until 30 April to share your activities with fellow educators!

How to participate?

  1. Register in the Scientix portal (if you haven’t already) to obtain your EUN ID credentials.
  2. Prepare your activity: you can submit several kinds of activities, check out our Templates and Tips page to find the best way to share with the community.
  3. Pin your activity on the STEM Discovery Campaign map by filling in the submission form, either on the Scientix portal or the STEM Discovery mobile app.

It will be a great resource for other teachers all over the world, and it might even give you the chance to get celebrated for your outstanding achievements with the Scientix Awards!

As a member of the Europeana teaching community, you are encouraged to participate by sharing your Story of Reuse, which is your way to tell us about using:

  • Digital cultural heritage items from Europeana.eu, or
  • Existing educational resources from the Teaching with Europeana website (a Learning Scenario or a Story of Implementation of your choice),

in your STEM and STEAM educational activities.

The Story of Reuse should highlight how you connect digital cultural heritage with scientific inquiry and STEM competences in creative ways with your learners. You can submit your Story of Reuse by using the Scientix Story of Implementation template, or simply by describing the activity in the submission form.

If you want to bring the news to even more educators and inspire them to submit their Stories, here’s a promotional package to guide you.

Besides being an inspiration for other educators, your Stories of Reuse might help you gain recognition for your efforts in the educational community. The Scientix Cultural Legacy Award, supported by Europeana, promotes Europeana Stories of Reuse through the following prizes: 10 Stories of Reuse (winners and runners-up) will be published on the Teaching with Europeana website, and the authors of the 5 winning Stories will be invited to the Science Projects Workshop in Brussels in July 2026.

Don’t miss this chance – submit your Stories of Reuse now!
